The yard is a complex of traditional Cumbrian farm buildings, newly developed to provide three secluded holiday lets: West Barn, East Byre and South Byre.

The former barn, byres and stables form a quadrangle. The beauty of their solid construction – salmon pink sandstone walls under green slate roofs can be appreciated as you enter through the wrought iron gates. This sheltered yard is a sanctuary, tucked away from the road, private and peaceful, ready to welcome you in for a holiday.

Sustaburn supplied a 36kW OkoFen Automatic Wood Pellet Boiler which controls the underfloor heating in the three properties and provides hot water for a refreshing wash, via buried highly insulated pipes linking the properties on a single boiler heating scheme. The OkoFen boiler and 3.5 ton FleXILO pellet store are located in a space only 2.4m x 3m, making economic use of the limited space available to our client.

Salutation Yard really is a place to enjoy a tranquil break, with the add bonus of being comfortable in the winter months, knowing that you are being kept warm  by OkoFen, the European specialist’s  in wood pellet heating.
